The Isac Amaya Junior Scholarship is available to students in the state who are attending or plan to attend a community college in Maricopa, Yuma, and Pima counties (public or private).

Requirements:

1. Students must be recent high school graduates or undergraduates at a college in Arizona. 

2. The scholarship is available for students who don’t qualify for financial aid due to their immigration status. 

3. Applicants must show proof of enrollment at the college they are attending, effective Spring 2023. Students must send proof of enrollment (copy of schedule, letter of acceptance or other document) to scholarships@isacamayafoundation.org after completing the application.

4. Students must submit a 250-word essay explaining their financial need. 

5. Students must submit a 1 to 1.5-minute video answering the questions in the application.

6. There will be three winners chosen out of Maricopa County, Yuma County, and Pima County.

7. Each winner will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship that will be sent to his/her school. Funds will not be given to the student directly.

8. Awardees may participate in media interviews.

9. Previous Isac Amaya Scholarship recipients are not eligible for this year’s award. 

10. All application materials must be submitted to scholarships@isacmayafoundation.org by November 30, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. with the subject line “YOUR NAME: Junior Scholarship”
